Instant Pot chicken wing recipe that taste good? Yes and easy to make too! I never tried making any kind of chicken wing recipe that is not fried or bake. Somehow this Sweet & Sour Instant Pot Chicken Wing recipe took this to the next level when it comes to using my Instant Pot.
I was never the “cooking meal” type, I burned my house down in 2007 but somehow I managed to kick my fear to the curb and get my behind in the kitchen if I wanted to eat better, save money, and kick my fear aside.
Since January was the month we decided to go spending freeze mode I was very creative when it came to my meal plans and using what I had available to create awesome meals. Be advice that about my latest recipes because we eat what we have in our pantry and you know what, it works.
Getting back to my Sweet & Sour Instant Pot chicken wing recipe, I will say that it doesn't require much ingredients and that I bought them all at Aldi except for the wings. These were from Sam's and bought for Super Bowl Weekend and we had wings left because we didn't cook them all.
As you can see, we love chicken wings in our home and look for wing recipes to try from around the web. This is the first time I add soy sauce to wings to be honest. Don't you be judging me!
Sweet & Sour Instant Pot Chicken Wing Recipe
For seasoning I had these wings marinated in Italian dressing and I recommend that you season your wings the day before to maximize the flavor. I had about 11-13 wings I can't remember the exact number and this is where I failed. LOL
Placed the chicken wings inside the Instant Pot and a little or all of the marinade too. See the photo above for more details. Add about 1/2 cup of soy sauce and close the Instant Pot.
Hit manual set pressure on high for 10 minutes and let the Instant Pot do its magic.
Carefully quick release the all the pressure out and remove the lid carefully. Place the cooked chicken wings on a pan.
Pour Sweet & Sour dipping sauce on them. Spread the love don't be shy! Make sure the wings are basted with this sauce.
Broil them for about 7 minutes, turning them once. I honestly preferred them a bit crispy, but that is just me.
Look at these babies!! Not bad with making a delicious recipe with what we have in our kitchen!! Wings, Italian dressing, Sweet & Sour Dipping sauce and you this delicious Instant Pot Chicken Wing Recipe!
They were sticky and juicy!!
I should be a hand model… JK!
The month of January sure brought the creative side of me when it came to recipes. Using what we had in our kitchen and not spending money proved to me that I can make dinner work in any situation.
