Most people eat out at least occasionally.  It is a fun way to celebrate special occasions and who doesn't want a night off from cooking?  The downside is that eating out can be expensive.  It is almost always more expensive then eating at home.  BUT….I can help you save a little cash!  Here are the best apps to save you money on eating out.

Living Social Restaurants Plus

I have been using Living Social for a long time so I was excited to see their new restaurants plus app.  This app allows you to earn up to 30% cash back from eating at certain restaurants.  You do have to link a credit card to the app to allow it to track your purchases.  The app shows you participating locations.  This app is available in both android and apple.  The only downside is that it is only for major markets at this time.

Restaurant.com App

I am sure you have heard of Restaurant.com by now.  It has been a great way to save money on eating out for years.  They have a free app now that allows you to dine and save on the go!  It is easy to search for deals in your area and there are even exclusive mobile deals on the app for more savings.   One thing I like about Restaurant.com is that they focus on local restaurants instead of national chains.  It is fun to support small businesses and try new places out for a bargain.

Valpak App

Valpak is a couponing app that lets you save money on the run.  You can use the app to get coupons to local eateries.  All you have to do is show the coupon on your smart phone to the server.  The app allows you to keep track of coupons you are interested in and even share them with your friends.

Groupon App

Groupon has a mobile app to help you save money.  I absolutely love Groupon for shopping, but it is also a great way to save money on dining out.  Being able to browse my local restaurants is so convenient.  It is easy to save 40-60% off at some our our favorite places to eat!  They also offer deals on national chains a lot!  I see a great deal for IHOP right now!!

McDonald's App

I know that McDonald's is not fine dining, but as a parent…we do eat there (like almost everyone else, LOL).  It is an easy place to take the kids and when we are crunched for time it is a go-to location.  If you eat at McDonald's then you have to get the mobile app.  They put coupons on your app and you can redeem them at the register.  Check your app before you go because you might be surprised what you can get for free!  They also added the McCafe Punchcard to the app for you coffee drinkers out there!  After every 5 McCafe's you buy….you get one free!!

Entertainment Book App

The Entertainment Book has always been a great way to save money if you use it.  Now that they have the mobile app it is even easier to get your money's worth out of the book.  There are always LOTS of dining options in the Entertainment Book and some are BOGO so you can save a lot.  If you haven't tried the Entertainment Book before you can try the digital version free for a month!

The Coupons App

This app is more then just grocery coupons.  It is loaded with coupons for EVERYTHING you can imagine…including dining coupons.  It gets great ratings and has lots of national chain restaurants and fast food places too.

Forks App

Forks is a restaurant app that lets you explore over 50,000 restaurant options.  There are wonderful deals available for eating establishments in your area.  They also offer lots of reviews so you can tell if it is a place you would want to eat.  The downside is that this app is only available for Apple devices.
